seda-sensors is a component of Seda's Enhancements, introduced in Version 4.
Purpose
System Health
Although Debian contains robust temperature and power readings, they are not presented in a consistent form depending on the hardware used. seda-sensors checks for and displays the temperature of various components, power consumption (where possible), and an overall health assessment.
Most of what this script does is for other scripts to call. It is part of the core health framework of Seda's Enhancements.
Use
Graphical
The output of seda-sensors appears in the Conky information sidebar.
- The highest temperature in the system and the estimated power consumption of the system are displayed in the System area.
- The temperature of the CPU is displayed in the Processor area.
- The temperature of the GPUs are displayed in the Graphics area.
Terminal
For basic information, you can run it seda-sensors as a normal user from a terminal. For more advanced information including power consumption, you must run it as root.
