History
Project Titanium
Jennifer was designed under the codename Project Titanium
During the late development of Delta Network Scripts, it became clear that something new was required. Most of the components for the system were selected as early as 2011; but due to a busy life schedule the system was only assembled in December, 2012.
The goals for Project Titanium were simple;
- Long-term serviceability
- Long-term viability
- Ability to run in very hot environments
Jennifer was originally intended to run for 7 years. That has obviously been exceeded.
Cost
Jennifer cost over $6,100 AUD at time of construction.
Current Status
Jennifer is used for compatibility and performance testing with every piece of code that makes it into each release of the software.
