seda-optimage is a component of Seda's Enhancements, introduced in SE2023.

Purpose

seda-optimage allows you to select a folder full of image files to repack in a more optimised format. This is a lossless repack, but can save considerable space as it will convert files saved in older versions of software to a newer format that remains backwards compatible. PNG and JPEG files can often be reduced to just over half their original file size with no quality loss. This can take a long time – if you have multiple systems, use your fastest when doing this.

Requirements

All systems supported by Seda's Enhancements are capable of running this feature.
